(MIAMI, Fla. / October 5, 2020) — Adult film star and indie content creator Joslyn Jane is back in the news, sharing her perspective on whether celebrities such as Bella Thorne are ruining OnlyFans for sex workers with writer Alex Thomas at Playboy.
Of late, OnlyFans has been pushing hard for influencers outside of sex work to join its platform, and Thomas notes that “when Thorne joined OnlyFans and crashed the site in August, it was the least surprising thing to happen on the platform. OnlyFans had been aimed toward a moment like Thorne’s for a while; similarly, the adult industry had been heading for a moment like the rise of OnlyFans for years.”
Jane notes in the piece that most sex workers weren’t surprised when Thorne’s entrance shook the platform. “She’s not the first celebrity to do this. She was the big name that blew it out of the water because she made so much money, but it’s been going on for a while.”But “C-list celebrity” Thorne’s recent rise to relevance may have come at a cost to sex workers, and Jane agrees that “The Bella Thorne Effect” has highlighted the site’s growing pains.
“I know some people who are now doing a lot more PG stuff and a lot less adult stuff on their OnlyFans,” Jane added. “A lot of people believe that because all these famous people are joining OnlyFans now and OnlyFans is pushing them to join the platform, it’s no longer going to be an adult site. That’s the fear a lot of people have.” Read “Did The Rich and Famous Ruin OnlyFans For Sex Workers?” here.
Jane has also dropped a new video today, which finds her re-teamed with Annabel Redd. The JOI clip features the two naturally-busty stars teasing the lucky viewer with lots of boob bouncing, licking, pinching and slapping.
“Annabel is such a natural at jerk off instruction!”, said Joslyn Jane. “She really gets into it, and it was fun to watch. I know the fans are really going to love this scene.”

About Joslyn Jane
Born and raised in Miami, adult film star and indie content producer Joslyn Jane attended high school in New York and college in Washington DC. After earning her bachelors, instead of following a career path in Industrial Organizational Psychology, the statuesque, 5’ 9” blonde soon found success as a model for party promotions across South Florida.
In 2016, on a friend’s recommendation, she accepted a few roles as a non-sex extra in adult film shoots for Brazzers and Digital Playground before taking the plunge into XXX territory.
Joslyn launched her own ManyVids store in May 2017, while continuing to strategically perform in scenes for studios such as BangBros to build up her name. Today, Joslyn Jane is a prolific content creator, with scores of titles across many genres, who consistently ranks among the top “MV Girls”. In July, she was the 1st place winner in the ManyVids Summer Splash Contest, and in September she was victorious in the ManyVids Go Green Contest.
Jane was interviewed in a March 2020 viral New York Postnews story examining the silver lining online sex workers have found as people seek to escape the new reality of the coronavirus pandemic, and in August she discussed the lasting impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the adult business to Mashable. Most recently, she shared her perspective on whether celebrities are ruining OnlyFans for sex workers — “The Bella Thorne Effect” — with writer Alex Thomas at Playboy.
